This inspired painting of Christ was the very first watercolor painting the artist ever made. It was created on a random General Conference Sunday when a family member invited everyone to join in learning watercolor painting.

The artist’s younger sister was diagnosed with cancer at age 9. She recieved several surgeries, and when she was a young adult, the metal from one of her first surgeries corroded through an artery in her neck. She was life flighted to Seattle because she was coughing up massive amounts of blood. In desperation as an artistic expression of prayer, this painting was created. Her sister is happy, healthy, and well now.

Two homeless gals became my friends and this is a painting inspired by them. Originally there was only going to be one hand outstretched, but when feeling takes over, art becomes more meaningful. The black heart was initially intended to be a crease in the blanket.

This depicts conflicting perceptions of feeling not good enough when more effort is given and just right with a less more efficient authentic output.

Thank you for all the handprints that have touched my heart.
